EVERYBODY IN THE POOL!

Since opening in 2009, the Upper Valley Aquatic Center has become a swim and fitness destination for thousands. Families, groups, and individuals use UVAC as a valuable resource to learn and sharpen swim skills, exercise and rehabilitate, compete and celebrate.

At UVAC, we believe in the beneficial power of water for everyone. Our scholarship fund—including the Hartford Learn to Swim program, Senior Outreach initiatives and the Community Access program—helps support our Center’s goal to get “Everybody in the Pool.”

Your donation to the scholarship fund will bring swimming, fitness and fun to many deserving residents of the Upper Valley.

Make a priceless investment in your community and help us get everybody in the pool!

THE HARTFORD LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM

Through the Hartford Learn to Swim program, almost 100 Hartford children have learned to swim this year! Developed to teach ALL Hartford second graders to swim, the program is free and includes transportation with after-school care.

“We liked the hours and convenience of the Swim Program for working parents.“
When asked what we could do to improve the experience, one parent wrote, ”Nothing, my son loved it!”
“The instructors spent extra time with my son who is hard to handle.”

COMMUNITY ACCESS PROGRAM

The Community Access program provides day pass and membership assistance for deserving residents referred by local social service agencies.

“Since beginning water aerobics at UVAC, my oncologist has noted my increased muscle tone and weight loss…I’m feeling much better.” —Female cancer patient

“It’s great…I haven’t used a cane in 3 weeks. Thank you!” —Senior participant
